Born in England, photographer Sam Gallagher grew up shooting the historic beauty of his native “Londontown” and the sprawling countryside just outside the city. After earning his BA (Honours) in Fine Art at Central Saint Martins College, Gallagher’s artistic vision continued to take shape. Always drawn to the more geometric silhouettes found in the urban environments and landscapes surrounding him, his portfolio is a mix of organic and contemporary photographs. Shooting both 35mm and medium format film, he challenges his lens to capture the textures and compositions seen by the human eye. It is apparent that Gallagher possess a passion to capture both the complexities and the simple serenity of nature.
