For over 35 years St. Louis based photographer has traveled the world with his cameras. His work has taken him to over 85 countries, spanning six continents. From major cities to remote corners of the globe, Halperin's seasoned traveling skills and photographic saavy helps to produce images that are intense in their color saturation, while at the same time capturing a unique orientation and perspective.
A friend and colleague of photo legend Ernst Haas for over ten years, Halperin's work reflects a profound influence from their collaboration. "Haas was a great teacher in a very indirect way, he taught me that like a good painter a photographer is responsible for his entire canvas, or frame. We need to fill and work with the entire canvas, compose our frame carefully and thoughtfully- even though it is done in an instant.
